So, you live in Aggieland and you have to study for that big test coming up. Sure, you can study at home and be constantly annoyed by that roommate you don’t overly like that much. You can also study at one of the numerous coffee shops scattered around town. These are some of the best around Texas A&M:

1. Sweet Eugene’s House of Java

Sweet Eugene's House of Java

This is one of the best places in town to study at. They’re located on Harvey, in the same area as Fuddruckers. The atmosphere inside is great for studying, and their coffee and donuts are pretty good. Scattered along the inside are comfy couches, tables and chairs, and Wi-Fi. Sweet’s menu is fairly priced, and I enjoy getting their sugar donuts because they taste incredible and are usually fresh. If great atmosphere and good food is your cup of tea, then Sweet Eugene’s is the place to go.

2. Fire & Ice

Fire & Ice

This place is one of my favorite places in town, located in the Blinn parking lot. It’s also one of the most unique places. Not only does Fire & Ice sell good coffee, they also sell incredible snow cones. It’s a tiny shack, with a few tables and chairs located underneath a small awning. In the hot Texas heat, sometimes the thing you need is a cherry snow cone and some cool down time in the shade with your textbook and notes.

3. Starbucks

Starbucks

If you prefer a warm cup of joe from Starbucks, then you’re in luck. College Station has multiple Starbucks scattered around. There are 2 on the Texas A&M campus, and numerous shops located in town. One of the best Starbucks to study at is the Starbucks located in Evan’s Library on campus. You can grab your coffee or tea and then head upstairs to one of those individual study rooms and get your work done.

4. Hasting’s Café

Hardback Coffee Cafe

The Hardback Coffee Café is located inside the Hastings on Texas Avenue. This café is very similar to Starbucks, but considerably cheaper. There is a very nice seating area that you can study at and they also have Wi-Fi. Their prices are very fair, a medium coffee is $1.95 and the coffee is good. If you’re looking for good prices and a nice study area, then this café is the place for you.

5. Shipley Donuts

Shipley Do-Nuts

If you are that rare college student that actually enjoys getting up early in the morning, then Shipley Donuts is the place for you. Shipley’s has the best donuts in town. They are open from 6am until 1pm. Their donuts are incredible and they have good coffee.
